Community Engagement

Communal engagement is the process of working collaboratively with and through groups of people connected by geographical proximity, a common interest or similar situation, to address issues that affect the well-being of those individuals.

It is a powerful tool for implementing environmental and behavioral changes that will benefit the health of the community and its members. Partnerships and alliances are often used to pool resources and influence systems, as well as to change relationships between partners and policies, used to act as a catalyst for change in programs and practices.

Community involvement involves and participates in a group that works for the betterment of the community.
