Founder Chairman
May Allah stand guard over us and our country “Bangladesh” as a whole. As the Chairman & Managing Director, I would like to give a brief history of the organization, ‘SICHO GROUP OF COMPANIES’. It came into existence in the year 1968 and by now it has been transformed as a group of companies (SICHO GROUP) which comprises of 4 (Four) organization having individual entity. By the passage of time, the company has gained vast knowledge in the business management and technical know-how which has made this organization an ideal house for C&F, Stevedoring, Transportation and Pilot House Logistics.
Apart from the C&F House, this organization is engaged in the manufacture Water Crafts, Boats & Barges. Besides its export- import business through trading house, the organization has diversified its business to some extent towards agro industry. These all are now contributing much for the socio-economic development of the people of Bangladesh.
The Consortium of S.I Chowdhury & Co. Ltd. and Saiful Mainul & Co. Ltd., has made a good impact in the business arena due to their strive against all the ODDS, arena by dint of striving hard against all the ODDS. As a result, SICHO is now treated as one of the fastest growing business house in the country.

Engineer A.M.M. Saiful Islam Chowdhury did his HSC from Foujdarhat Cadet College and obtained Engineering Degree from Surat University, India and he is actively participating in the management of SICHO. After the demise of founder chairman, he took over the position of Managing Director of SICHO performing the assign duties & responsibilities successfully. He is associated with various youth and social organizations for upbringing the society in literacy, health care and sports.

Mr. A.S.M. Mainul Islam Chowdhury followed the family legacy of joining the business after achieving B. Com (Hons.) from Aligarh Muslim University, India in 1994 & MIM (Masters of International Management) from Bond University, Australia in 1996. In 2006 his passion for Information Technologies has made him obtaining Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology from University of Technology, Sydney. His double major in Business and ICT will help him to ern world strategy and technology.

Mr. A.N.M Shahidul Islam Chowdhury has accomplished BBA duly from North South University, Dhaka in 1997 and thereafter MBA from University of Coventry, UK in 1999. Having immense experience in the field of C&F business, he is well conversant about Customs Tariff, Clearing & Forwarding procedure & Rules and Regulation of National Board of Revenue (NBR). He Also possesses vast knowledge about the Policies and handling procedures at Chattagram Port.

Mr. A.H.M. Kamrul Islam Chowdhury obtained Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Management from North South University in 2004. Following to that, he also attained Masters in Environmental Management from the University of Sheffield, UK in 2006. At present he is focused towards Operations and HSE (Health Safety and Environment) Division of the company.

Just after completion of higher Studies, Mr. Ali joined SICHO Group in the middle of 1972. Thereafter, at the end of 1977 he took over the Charges of Dhaka Regional Office and devoted himself to develop Company’s business. By virtue of pertinence, perseverance as well as applaudable businessman-ship within a short period of time he picked up the tasks sharply with optimum success. He made him well conversant in the total norms & procedures, rules- regulations meant for Customs Clearing-forwarding, Shipping, mobilization of most valuable Project Cargo uninterruptedly by Road & River including documentations, Taxations etc. Apart from all the aforementioned specifiable points & things, he gathered acclaimable knowledge in Customs act, Port & shipping norms & regulations, Import-Export policy matter etc. which have made him all-rounder on the said particular Challenging tasks of Project Logistics. Based on his commendable business Liaisons/communications, authentic knowledge on total LOGISTIC Activities, griping capacity, good behaviors, pleasing personality, praiseworthy writing-speaking in English, made him capable to promote Company’s business notably. As a result, the Company had been awarded proudly the referred LOGISTICS activities of historical-ever biggest Jamuna Multipurpose Bridge Project, Padma Multipurpose Bridge Project, Karnaphuli Tunnel Project, Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd (French Investment) and Dhaka Elevated Expressway PPP Project apart from so many others. By all these, it has been evaluated Internationally as a SPECIALIST & Unparallel on Int’l Project Logistics herein Bangladesh.
