600 Ton
The crawler crane TEREX CC 2800 – 1 has a maximum lifting capacity of 660 tons. The maximum boom and jib lengths are 452.8 feet and 118 feet, respectively.
The car body and crawler side frames are built of high strength fine grain structural steel that is bending and torsion resistant. The crawlers' track shoes, idlers, and drive sockets are made of high-strength cast steel that has been heat treated. On each side of the crawlers, there are 15 rollers with hardened rolling surfaces and an automatic centralized lubrication system. A triple-row roller bearing slew-ring connects the superstructure frame to the carrier frame, which is likewise torsion resistant and built of high strength fine grain steel.
The engine is a DaimlerChrysler OM 502 LA from DaimlerChrysler. This 530-horsepower diesel engine is Tier III certified. Five variable displacement axial piston pumps, a silencer with a spark arrestor, and gear pumps make up the pump distribution gearbox.
The TEREX CC 2800 – 1's tracks are driven by two hydraulic motors, each with closed planetary gear reduction units operating in oil baths. Both tracks have hydraulically released holding brakes that are spring-applied. The gear units were designed to be tiny enough to fit inside the crawler's breadth. The four hydraulic assembly jacking cylinders are located on the car body and fold to a width of 9.8 feet for easy crawler installation.
